I love the smell of desperation in the morning.  

Noted wit Lindsey Graham insists he was "dripping in sarcasm" when he used the phrase "the good old days of segregation" during the Judge Amy hearings.  How could listeners have failed to pick that up?  Maybe it's his accent.  Or his party affiliation.

Which he shares with this guy.  Trump was in Pennsylvania mansplaining to the ladies why they should support him:  "So can I ask you to do me a favor?  Suburban women, will you please like me?  I saved your damn neighborhood."  By keeping out the people who cause all the crime and have the cookouts with the loud music and ruin your property value like so many wind turbines, was implied.  "The other thing is I don't have that much time to be nice."  Which is the closest he has ever come to acknowledging a lifetime of rape and misogyny.  We'll see how the "suburban women" respond.  

You know how Nancy Pelosi color-coordinates her face mask with her dress?   It's not fashion sense, people, it's a signal!  To trigger assassins, just like the playing card in The Manchurian Candidate!  Let's see, who's been taken out lately?  Did she travel back to 1981 and signal to John Hinckley?  

Did you vote by mail in the Pittsburgh area?  Maybe not.  Letter carrier and QAnon acolyte Sean Troesch is under investigation after several large bags of mail were left outside his house as trash.  Neighbors say this isn't the first time.

Trump doesn't have much time to be nice, but he has plenty of time to share bonkers conspiracy theories with his Twitter followers.  Today's gem (also Q-affiliated) posits that Obama and Biden had Navy SEAL Team 6 murdered to conceal the fact that Osama Bin Laden is still alive and hiding in the basement of Comet Ping-Pong.  Former SEAL Robert J. O'Neill begs to differ, but he's probably not the real Robert J. O'Neill.  

Uganda is holding presidential elections in January, and today police raided the campaign office of opposition leader Bobi Wine.  Trump could only look on enviously...for now.

More bad news:  US Attorney John Bash reported that he can't find a thing to indict a single Obama official, much less Obama himself (or Biden, or Hillary Clinton) in the shocking "unmasking" scandal.  And also, don't bother because he has already resigned as US attorney in San Antonio.  It's not looking good for Big Bill Barr, who picked him for the job.   But in his capacity as Trump family consigliere, Barr is using our Justice Department to sue Stephanie Winston Wolkoff because the First Escort didn't like her book.  This may buy him some time.

Hardly a day goes by without an article that begins "Eric Trump mocked for..."  Specimens include "My father literally saved Christianity!" and "We've lost millions" since Pop made the big sacrifice of becoming Putin's surrogate.  Today he tweeted a picture of one of Senior's virus-fests with idiots packed like a mosh pit next to one of a socially-distanced Biden rally and proclaimed, "The polls are wrong."  Maybe he was confused by the record-breaking crowds at the inauguration.  

Bernard S. Cohen, who represented the plaintiff in the landmark case Loving v. Virginia in 1967,  has died at age 86.  Loving, which struck down Virginia's anti-miscegenation law, is about the only Supreme Court decision that Amy Barrett did not offer a simpering non-answer about during the hearings; perhaps she would consider it a "super-precedent" and let it stand.  Hetero couples only, of course.

Another MAWBAD (Might As Well Be A Democrat) has come forward:  Charlie Baker, Republican governor of Massachusetts, says he won't be voting for Trump.  He may "take a pass."  Weak.

Barron Trump had covid, his mother says, but he's fine now, because it really doesn't affect young people at all.  Except for this Idaho teenager, previously healthy, who needed a heart transplant.  And a few thousand others. 

Trump's best hope is probably Charlie Kirk and his cabal of ballot-snatchers and precinct-pirates.  The Washington Post has video of the Protocols of the Elders of Fascism.
