Highly unusual, completely unacceptable

"While a series of events like this is highly unusual, it is completely unacceptable."

Who said it?

Was it the governor of Georgia, the Honorable Brian Kemp, responding to the second mass shooting in two days?  (One dead and four wounded in downtown Atlanta; four dead, including the shooter, in Moultrie).

Was it Chief Justice John Roberts when told that Harlan Crow also paid for Mark Martin, adoptive son of Clarence Thomas, to attend several expensive private schools?  And that Thomas also forgot to declare this largesse?

Was it the CEO of McDonald's upon learning that his burger chain employs 305 children in four states, including two ten-year-olds in Kentucky?

Was it Judge Lewis Kaplan issuing a bench warrant for Trump's arrest as he continues to slander E. Jean Carroll (and the judge) from the safety of an Irish golf course?

I was naive myself, long ago.

That was a statement from Churchill Downs about four expensive, completely insured thoroughbred horses which have died in the days before the Kentucky Derby.  "We take this very seriously and acknowledge that these troubling incidents are alarming and must be addressed," the venerable racetrack went on.  You can measure a society by what it takes seriously and addresses.

Russia is now claiming that the US had something to do with the "drone strike" on the Kremlin.  Please.  Americans use more explosives for a gender-reveal party.

Trump's just surrounded by judges who are "extremely hostile."  New York Supreme Court Justice Robert Reed shitcanned his $100 million suit against the New York Times and ordered him to pay attorneys' fees, legal expenses and associated costs.  Do they think he's made of money?

Media Matters has "leaked" video of Tucker Carlson discussing sexual technique with Piers Morgan.  I promise never to quote it.

New anti-protest laws have forced Britons to become more creative in criticizing the monarchy.  This is the Royal Crescent in Bath, soon to be the site of a coronation party.
