Day of surprises

 The lord has called Marion "Pat" Robertson to his reward at the age of 93.  If you thought he would go on forever like Kissinger and Dracula, well, cheer up.  Although there's enough TV footage to rerun for the rest of this century.  Robertson's schtick was revealing the divine reason for every bad thing that happened.  The 9/11 attacks?  Pornography and abortion rights.  Hurricane Katrina?  Feminism and gay people.  The 2007 recession?  The collapse of the real estate bubble, regulatory rollback...I'm kidding, it was witchcraft.  Anyway, happy Pride Month to those who celebrate.  

Not only will Alabama lose out on Space Command because it sent a cretin to the Senate instead of Doug Jones, but it will have to redraw its racist Congressional map.  That's not just my opinion, it's the 5-4 opinion of the Supreme Court with Roberts and Kavanaugh joining the three Liberal Ladies.  In the case of Allen v. Milligan the state, which is twenty-five percent Black, must accommodate at least two majority-Black districts (currently there is one).  Good for Alabama, good for the besieged Voting Rights Act.   It was the least they could do after fouling the Clean Water Act last month.  (In a probably unrelated development, Alito and Thomas are going to need more time to file their annual financial disclosures.  It's hard to get an appointment with a CPA at this time of year.)

Well, Christopher Wray dodged a contempt citation by agreeing that James Comer and the Comettes and everybody else on the House Overlook Committee can see the fabled FD-1023, the document which proves that Joe and Hunter Biden are related or something.  All they have to do is troop over to the J. Edgar Hoover G-Man Building and leave their phones and spy cameras outside the secure location where it's kept in a controlled environment.  The very serious committee can now move on to UAPs, which is the new name for UFOs.  They've found a whistleblower -- yes, another one -- named David Grusch, who used to work in intelligence and says there's a warehouse full of unexplained anomalous phenomena, some of which still work.  And who knows, maybe the hard drive from Hunter Biden's laptop.  Will Margie Greene wear her white balloon costume from SOTU?  Can't wait.

"There's a little chaos going on," Squeaker McCarthy told reporters by way of explaining why he can't seem to get the House back in session.  A few of his Freedom Caucus kids are holding their breath and crossing their eyes because they weren't allowed to force default and wreck the capitalist world, and he's going to give them cupcakes and try to find out what they want this week.  The pretext is some bill that would ban the sale of gas stoves, if you can believe it.  Nobody is saying McCarthy is an impotent milquetoast, but peals of laughter were reported coming from the office of Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).

Well, this is a novel delaying tactic:  Trump wants a do-over in the E. Jean Carroll lawsuit, which he defended by yelling and tweeting on various European golf courses.  Perhaps this time he wants his proverbial day in court.  Possibly he thinks he can fend off indictment in the stolen classified documents case, said to be imminent now that federal prosecutors have informed his lawyers that he is a target of investigation.  Also Mark Meadows has testified to the grand jury, suggesting a deal was made for some form of immunity (Meadows has no plans to follow in the footsteps of Michael Cohen and  Allen Weisselberg in serving time for the Leader).  Could tomorrow be the day of days?

A TRAVESTY OF JUSTICE & ELECTION INTERFERENCE AT A LEVEL NEVER SEEN BEFORE. REPUBLICANS IN CONGRESS MUST MAKE THIS THEIR # 1 ISSUE!!!
