A brief period of rejoicing

In New York the Trump Organization was convicted on seventeen counts of conspiracy, criminal tax fraud and falsifying business records.  Sadly, the only penalty will be financial, although CFO Allen Weisselberg will serve a few months in jail.

The House Select Committee will most likely make criminal referrals to the Justice Department as it winds up its investigation of the 2021 coup attempt.

In Georgia, another Trump-selected candidate was repudiated as Raphael Warnock was elected to a full six-year term in the Senate.

Not surprisingly, he seems to have gone quiet, hoping people will forget he dined with Nazis and called for the Constitution to be set aside.  Never forget.
